Abe welded the coolant expansion tank. This was the first time that I had used SOLIDWORKS’ sheet metal features. Spending the time to ensure a 50% overlap for all edges resulted in perfect fitment with optimal corner weld joints.
The next step is weld the bungs and mounting posts.
